Artist's Description

Khancoban is a small village on the Kosciusko Alpine Way. This serpentine road runs through the glorious Snowy Mountains in New South Wales. It passes Thredbo ski resort and Tom Groggin on the Murray River. Khancoban is a relatively young village, built to house workers on the Snowy Hydroelectric Scheme in the 1960s. The European migrant workers planted trees for their autumn foliage. Oil painting by Dai Wynn on linen panel.
