Artist's Description

Oil painting by Dai Wynn of Daly’s Pier on French Bay, Akaroa, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand. As the early morning sun rises above the rim of the ancient volcanic crater, it lights the hills to the west of Akaroa Harbour. The low hills above Wainui are still in deep shade. The tranquil harbour waters are ruffled by the slightest breeze. A perfect day lies ahead. Painted on canvas panel. 20.3 cm high by 25.4 cm wide by 0.3 cm deep approximately.
