Description
According to Wikipedia, this is reputedly the smallest house in Great Britain. Also known as the Quay House, built in the sixteenth century, it stands on the Quay at Conwy, Wales and shares a wall with the famous Conwy castle. The floor area is 3.09 metres X 1.8 metres and, until 1900, the house was occupied by 1.9 metres tall Robert Jones.
Yes, I was there - no, I did not go inside. A lady in traditional Welsh costume stands at the doorway collecting the £1.00 entrance fee. A maximum of four (smallish?) people are permitted inside at any one time.
Ink and watercolour painting by Dai Wynn on smooth surface Arches french cotton paper. 30 cm high X 21 cm wide (11.75 inches X 8.25 inches) approximately - A4.
